1,500 SF renovation of car dealership - Modern, or Modernism, integrally links the interior and exterior spaces and resists historical references. BLINK Modern reduces formal geometry to leyered patternings.
Using local building materials and forms that convey cultural patterns as opposed to cultural styles. The indigenouis house looks to Nature as it's source with local ornamental flavors. This includes revived building techniques such as Straw Bale, Rammed Earth and Off-the-Grid methods.

Historical references seek to add sentimental vlaue. New materals and technologies do not engage authentic historical solutions. Even more rare is an historical interior. Please consider this when defining your project and program.
Small communities generally seek to preserve their heritage. Contrast in these time capsules is visually toxic and ineffective and the historial solution therefore is necessary and appropriate there. Architectural history includes entry sequences, circulation paths, materials, spatial types, ornament, window and doors styles and room uses. BLINK prefers authentic style when requested to bring the past forward.

MENTORING
Fees are based on a 30-40-50 hrs/sheet method. This guages project complexity accurately rather than percentages that are speculative. We customize fees to meet your budget.
There are often uncomfortable infrastructural costs including site prep., consultants, agency fees, city and state taxes and land aquisition expenses. We will advise you of the best options.
TIME & MONEY
Often confused with Green design, to sustain oneself and ones property requires a sustainable lifestyle. This influences building materials, programming and spatial relationships.
